The group photo
Had to walk the bikes because of the steep hills
We visited Pragser Wildsee again today with the Finnish group. Markus couldn't join us so we guided the group. The way to Pragser Wildsee from Niederdorf was 10 kilometers long. The group biked calmly but everybody got quite sweaty because of the hot day. We followed the land road until we noticed a good looking cycle path. The cycle path was a bit stony and narrow in some places, there were also extremely steep parts on the road and the roots of the trees were also quite tricky to cross. Nevertheless, Aino was the only one to fall down her bike, and only once.

Beautiful biking route
The group was a bit tired when we reached the lake, but after a while of resting we were walking around it, taking pictures on the way and listening their funny stories again. The path around the lake was about two kilometers, there were tons of interesting things to look at, the mountain on the horizon, the lake with its turquoise and very clear water, the flowers, the trees... one of the group members likes to spot birds and we learned to spot a few based on their sound as well.

Walking around the lake
We stopped by at Grünvaldshütte "The green forest guest house" and had something to eat. The food wasn't that great and one of the group members though it was unnecessary to climb the way up there. We walked back to our bikes and rolled the way down back to Niederdorf. Only then did we realize how long an ascent we had biked. The way down seemed really long, but very fast to bike. For safety, we biked down on a row, keeping distance between everyone. Gleb biked first and Aino came last, so we wouldn't go too fast or nobody would be left behind.

Right after we reached the hotel we had a feedback discussion about the journey. All the group loved it, as much as we did. The things they wanted us to develop were being more accurate about the distances and reminding the group to drink some water. We realized that if we are getting customers that aren't used to mountain bikes, we have to get them used to them somehow, like going on a long but easy biking trip with them, for example to Lienz, so they would learn how to use the brakes and the transmission
Happy pals!
