First experience of the Dolomites

The valley

Today we had our first "hiking" trip. So our employer Markus, who has his own practice (www.nordicphysio.com) gave us very good mountain bikes and we cycled about 6 hours. We did this trip to find out how it was and afterwards we had to write it down and find some information about the places we visited.
Aino is ready to go!

We had GPS that didn't work but we got along just fine using a map and following the signposts. We cycled from our working village, Niederdorf to Sexton, which was another little village more near the Dolomites. In Sexton we had planned taking a ski lift to one of the mountains but because of the snow on the top, we kept on biking to Talschlusshütte in a beautiful valley.

Gleb is already gone...

On the way there was little uphill and Aino decided that she hated mountain biking. Thankfully the landscape was breathtaking and made it all worth it (although on Gleb’s point of view the trip was nothing).

The nature was incredible!

The trip to the valley took about three hours and the way back took only about an hour and an half. The way back was a lovely downhill and that was when Aino decided that she loved mountain biking.

The experience was tiring but amazing and we'll be excited to go on a new trip first thing on tomorrow.
