Just a small map |
Because of the holidays and strangely early closing hours in shops, we
had our first breakfast for days this morning! We cycled an uphill a bit too
steep for Aino to keep calm. Gleb biked
about 100 meters ahead of her and that way annoyingly kind of pushed her
forward. We biked 10km which took about an hour, from Niederdorf to Brückele,
on the route there was about 300 meters ascent (doesn’t sound so bad now…).

Brace yourselves... |
To make things a bit easier Markus took a car up to the same place we biked so
we could leave our bikes and drive up to Plätzwiese, at least 5 km. The view up
there was yet again beautiful, but we only took some pictures and drove back
down to continue to another amazing place. Before that though, Gleb had the
time of his life cycling like a maniac back down the steep hill we’ve just
biked up.
Gleb's greetins to Finland |
The next place we drove to save some time; Pragser Wildsee is a lake in the middle of some mountains in
the Dolomites. Again we only took some pictures but planned that we could take bikes to the lake later and then make a little hiking trip up to the nearest mountain.

The heroic tale
Aino was on the computer writing a blog, when suddenly she heard a buzz… a bee
was there, right next to her ear, and she jumped up to save herself. The bee tried
to follow her, but Aino grabbed a bottle and swung it to scare the bee away. The
bee flied to hide behind the window blinds, so Aino took a brave step closer.
It was only then, when she kept on staring the bee ready to strike, that she
realized: the bee wasn’t a threat at all, but only a little frightened friend,
trying to find a way out. So Aino opened the balcony door, and the bee stopped,
staring at Aino. “Go my friend”, said Aino, “fly to freedom”. And the bee
buzzed away.
Hienoja on maisemat teillä. Nice views out there.
